I was one of the experts ( ha,ha,ha,) that sent him an email re- the authenticity of the can,,, yep your right, he didn't like it.. his language was so bad on a message thru Ebay that I can't copy and paste it on here,, He is ticked right off...LOL,,he blames everyone for emailing him and telling him about it,,,

Here is my question I sent him.

Now that is funny. Do you think I could insure it if you sold it to me. I'll split the profit

Idk the whole story or know what the emails said but from the looks of the original auction the guy just listed a can he presumed to be original, and the repop police sent the swat team after him. I have never been one that likes to get into other peoples business but I feel bad for the guy he started the item out at .99 I really dont think he knew what he had. He even stated in the auction after getting several emails
"i have had many emails telling me this can is a fake or a reproduction. i dont know anything about it. i found it somewhere along they way many years ago. i am not trying to deceive anybody or make a quick buck on this item. like i said i am no expert. i just have tons of cool stuff to get rid of. i would like to thank all the experts who brought this to my attention. THANKS".

ATTENTION ALL BIDDERS. ITEM COULD BE A REPRODUCTION.

It makes me sick to think that people would still harass the guy to the point where he destroys the can repo or not. I understand that there has been tons of controversy over repop items over the past few years and I understand everyones view that they are killing the market and so forth. Some people buy items and have no idea that they are repops I myself when I first started out bought a few things I thought to be original but where repops and later tried to sell with no clue it was one it happens. It honestly seems like this guy bought a can that he thought was real and tried to sell it. I think the policing of repops is getting a little out of hand.

JMO take it how you will,

Jerry

P.S. It amazes me that people on here would still poke fun at this guys expense at what looks to be an honest mistake.

I respect your opinion Jerry but let's be real...if you're selling something on ebay and you get some emails that it's a repop are you going to reply with a nasty emailed filled with profanity?

Are you then going to take the time to relist it showing an item that you took a hammer to just to make a point?

I think the guy has some issues.

He takes a $ .99 can & turns it into a $1,000. opening bid, guess I'd have to charge him $150 to repair it !

I can't say anything about the guys response to the emails because I have not
seen them nor do I care to but if you're are asking if I would be p!ssed if I continued to get emails after I revised my listing to say that I have been informed it's a reproduction and I have no clue about the item so it's up to the buyer to decide you damn right I would be would I go to the extreme this person did probably not but everyone
reacts differently. I don't think him being angry justifies for anyone to call him crazy I'm sure we have all been immature about a situation out of anger at one time or another we're all human.

Jerry
