Here are my latest buys, I have lots more to post, but it has to wait...
First is a NOS Essolube porcelain sign about 11X8 inches.
Second is a NOS Nynäs globe. It is plastic and was used during the 50s. The plastic is pressed and the white "N" is protruding through the blue fiber glass.
Third piture show a 40s Ljungmans pump with this type of globe. Colors are Nynäs post 1955. Picture is taken 10 years ago in the northern parts of Sweden.
Last picture show a couple of pump plates from the Swedish Koppartrans brand - pretty rare. They should arrive this afternoon :-)

I got this Gill body globe with Texaco lens here on Oldgas.com Shop Talk. I really got it to put some Zephyr Gill lenses in it.

Very curious if anyone can tell me is it is acceptable to clean up those retaining rings on the gill bodies and repaint them. I have one with the same worn off look and thought it would be nice to clean them up. Any thoughts???

I would- it would make the globe look better without hurting anything.

...FYI - the original paint used on those rings (at least on the older ones) was flat, not glossy...

Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...

Thanks Mark, that's good info to know. Mine has the old aluminum screw on base. I'm guessing that was also done in flat since it has the same look as the rings.
