I found this Ford sign a while back & was wandering if it was real or repo. It is painted on both sides & measures 24in X 17 1/2in. The grommets are 13in center to center. In the second pic it looks like ink or something splashed up on it on the top. Thanks for any info smile

Brad, I'm no expert on signs. But I've seen a lot of Ford signs, lol, and it looks good to me. Still has a hell of a shine, as the photo of your reflection shows.

Hard to tell whether it's a real or fake. There were many similar Ford signs over the years. At one time, I believe, there was an Andy Rooney repro sign of the same size.

I have two similar signs to yours. I believe that mine are repros. The first sign is double sided, while the second is single sided.

Compare to yours for any differences. I'm no sign expert, but there are definately some differences between mine and your signs. First, look at the font. Second, the grommet positioning is different. Lastly, the size of the font is different. The words on your sign are more spread out, while on mine they're more compressed. I believe that you have the real deal.

its difficult to tell 100% from photo but I think you have the real deal also .....the paint is rather thick on the real ones & should have some nice heavy shelving between colors......it appears badgas signs are porcelain

Well this sounds good so far. The paint is heavy & does have shelving between the colors.

Now what would a sign like this be worth?

The only damage is the scratch on the top in pic one & The ink stain & the light scratch that goes along the G to the F on Ford in pic two.

Is it worth the $300-$350 I can get it for?
