I have an opportunity to buy this sign. Just wondering if anyone knows if these were ever repro'd? If it is authentic I would also like to know the estimated value. I can get it for 600.00 (cdn) Thanks Colin

The sign looks good to me. I dont think these where ever repoped but I could be wrong. $600 is a bit on the steep side I think. What does the other side look like?

He is actually asking $695. Stated 600.00 was the best he would do. I thought that $600 was still too high. At 500.00 I would have snapped it up. I wanted to confirm my position first on Oldgas. Looks like I was right in not letting heart win over my gut feel. I will wait a bit and hopefully he will come around.

The "Mobiloils" flange is the earliest Gargoyle flange sign. Note how the text is plural.
$4-500 IMO. But probably worth $600 on a good day...

Keep in mind that he is asking $600 CANADIAN, so be sure to factor that in. Not sure of the exact exchange rate, but it would be less in US dollars.

Thanks, Doc. I didn't realize the exchange rate was that close right now. Just trying to make sure we were comparing apples to apples for him.

I have one that has one side like that and the other has a very early detailed white pegasis horse with Motor spirit on bottom and red background. I got it alot lower than that but this was many years ago. Pretty sure mine is foreign, may be Australia?
