I was just notified that there will be a 5% Sellers Premium - that is understandable as the autioneering and clerking services do take time.

I could be wrong, but I thought there was a time limit on how long you could edit a post after it was first posted? Someone tell me if I just dreamed this up, though...

KOOLMOTOR-- Correct me if I'm wrong but the 5% SELLERS premiun is just for items consigned to that afternoons auction sale and there will be NO buyers premium whatsoever! The swap meet goes on all day long with NO setup fees or space fees! You will be able to consign items to the auction sale as you check in on the 23rd! Theres a lot of really nice stuff coming to this meet and we're trying to do it as cheaply as possible to make it worth your time to venture up into the cold frozen NORTH COUNTRY!
Please consider it and if you have any questions or concerns, then call one of the numbers listed on the poster!

I cannot seem to find the edit button on my first post. I just wanted to add the 5% seller's premium so everyone would know up front. I see the poster I posted is missing - any ideas as to why this may have happend? Could you possible reupload another copy of the add if I send you one?

Yep, 5% just for items consigned to the auction. I believe oslosteve might ask for a few bucks from the vendors to offset the cost of mailing out post cards.

All in all this looks like it will be a promising show with plenty of interest being voiced by the area collectors. It has been about 9 - 10 years since we had this show and collectors from the tri-state area and Montana are looking to return to the Dakota Lubester's Show!

Gee George(iowa gas 2008 roommate), Steve wants me to ride back with him after the Columbia, Mo. show and then later fly back to Tulsa where I will leave my truck at Souperhigh's place...I hope this Louisiana boy can survive the frozen tundra up yonder..maybe do some ice fishing?

snow shoes???? Santa Paula weasels wouldn't need them? Oslo Steve was down here for a visit a few weeks ago and after he left we got snow!!! first time in about 10 years got a 1/4 inch and everything shut down....I wonder if Steve made that offer to ride back with him so he can put me to work?....

This thing has really gotten me excited! The more people I talk to, the more I find are going! Maybe being held in conjunction with the big annual car show is helping a lot!

Theres a few pictures on there but most sale items will be consigned on saturday morning! If you have sale items, please get some pics in to the auctioneer but you can do the actual consignment on site on saturday!!!

The North Dakota swap meet and auction is coming along great! The show organizers and the auctioneer, both report a lot of phone calls for information on the show and just as many from enthusiasts that intend to participate! I have a whole pickup load of really nice stuff going to the show and from what I've been told by other entusiasts, there will be "NO SHORTAGE" of excellent items from some of the biggest collectors here in the north country!
The weather has moderated and if this warming trend continues for another week, it will be quite pleasant up here! One thing about North Dakota, even when its cold out, it doesn't feel bad because theres no humidity mixed in! Makes it very pleasant outside when the temps are in the 20's and 30's!
The actual swap meet and auction is held in the Jamestown Civic Center and its a huge building, so everything will be inside the toasty warm building!

I am going any globe guys going, I have 27 globes I want to downsize my collection may bring a few. some picture globes maybe.

I'm bringing 5 globes and always looking for one that catches my eye! Especially Cities Service!!! LOL
I almost have everything boxed and ready to go but not sure I'll have enough room in the pickup! Someone suggested I pull a trailer and I thought maybe thats a good idea, as you never know what a person might buy!!!

Kevin what are you hearing on the weather, suppose to be a storm coming thru this week-end. It would only be our look been in the 30's and 40's for the last 2 weeks and now we get weather!!

I'm not really worried about it! Looks like we'll get light snow on saturday and I'm heading home that night before anything that might happen on sunday. I've talked to several from the east and they will also be there for sure.
I'm hoping that you'll be there with some Westland items! You don't have a porcelain Buffalo do you?????? Anyway---don't sweat the weather!

wont be coming to jamestown sat. looks like the freezing rain and snow won this time.

With all the forecasts I've looked at, I think the only bad day, might be sunday. Today was nothing and tomorrow looks good but its supposed to snow some on saturday, but what the heck, this country is covered in snow!!
I'll be there all day saturday and will head home on saturday night, so it shouldn't be any problem!
