I have a Mobil pegasus crated and ready to ship. I have used Fed Ex ground in the past. Any other good options that will deliver to an address not a terminal?
Thanks, Greg

Moving companies will pickup & deliver. Might take a little longer.

Try North American Van Lines 888-662-6261
Tell them what you have (size & weight) and they will give you a quote over the phone. They are a door to door direct service and very reasonable.---KEVIN

A moving co should take care of your package better than UPS, or Fed-Ex.
I have used N-American before w/ fine results.
They will pad it and strap it to the side, just like a piece of furniture.

If the item isn't too big, and you have access to them, Greyhound Bus does a very good job also. I've used them on neon signs and glass cylinders and have had no problems.

I CRATED AND SHIPPED A 6' TYDOL SIGN FROM L.I. TO CALI VIA FEDEX. I TOLD THEM ON THE PHONE HOW BIG THE SIGN WAS.....THEY SENT A EXTENDED ROOF VAN AND IT STILL DIDN'T FIT...NOT EVEN DIAGONALLY! LOL! LATER ANOTHER BOX TRUCK CAME AND WITHIN A WEEK OR SO SOME GUY IN SACRAMENTO WAS VERY HAPPY! wink

If you ship via FedEx Freight set up an acct w/ them (fairly easy...generally they give you a 60 percent discount the first time to try them out)...after you have an acct (you can pay as you go so no bills) the prices are MUCHOS cheaper than their std freight rates (about 50-60 percent off std rates)...I've had good luck with large crates via fedex freight in the past...best of luck!

Greg...i like Greyhound also, however you need to deliver & pick up..
I also like Forward Air....If you set up an account with them they are also very reasonable....They will pick up & deliver for an extra fee , however you can save on these fees by bringing the crate to them & its usually in a wharehouse near a major airport.....DT

The cheapest I have found is the Beltman Group 800-959-8880 Hit extension 2 which puts you into the gaming Dept. They pickup a pump and ship across the country, door to door insured, for $300. I don't know if it gets cheaper than that.
