I have two VR computers. One will go to 9.99 total sale, the other is also a 3 wheel that will read to 14.99. Will the top sections work on either of the bottom sections, or are they geared differently?
As it is, the lower section on the 14.99 version is in better shape, and I'd like to use the 9.99 version on that lower.
thanks, t00lmanii
Oh, and if that info is in "the book", I have it on order.

thanks South. Yeah, I've noticed that he is the guru, but I figured I'd ask here first...thought he might be inundated with veeder questions.

Joe, I knew someone was going to say that, lol. The battery on my digi-camera has dropped dead and won't recharge. I HAVE to find the time to pick one up. I'd like to post pics of my newly acquired pumps N junk.

well, I went ahead and tore into these 2 units. Man, lots of parts, almost as many as in an electronic controlled automatic overdrive transmission. Looks like the biggest issue is RUST. I;m machining new shafts for the most part....almost everything steel is severly pitted. Good thing there are lots of aluminum/pot metal parts, or they would be junk. Looks like the 2 units I have are close enough in time/design that I can make one good unit out of the 2, and get the 9.99 setup I was wanting. I'll get some pics posted shortly. Oh...another Q, is there a book available on these?
Thanks, Louis

YOU FUNNY !!!!
Jack has some literature. http://www.petrolianacollectibles.com/veeder-root.htm
I think these will tell you how to change wheels and that is about it ...if you need parts I have over 20+ yrs worth,
you may not need to have stuff MADE.

I am almost finished w/ an ID book on the computers....the "COVERS EVERYTHING REBUILDING BOOK" is on the back burner for now.
After this first one is done I will start back on the rebuild book.
.... 777 pieces in a 1935 10 3/4" computer,,,yep ...I counted. them
