This sign was listed before & he stopped the auction with 1 second left ebay #170416751447.... check out item ebay #140365857381, Richfield clock....same thing....
I always heard you couldn't stop a auction in the last 24 hours if you had bids, this must be the new way to sell.. if your not happy with what your item is bringing.

The pic in the first auction shows the frame..obviously material not used when Cooper used this logo.

They conveniently posted a pic in the second auction that only shows the lens.

Cooper's headquarters is in Findlay Oh...same as Marathon Oil. I've collected Cooper signs for years and have several original signs with this same logo...this one is bogus.

I appreciate you asking Doc, I think it's great when we talk about repops/fantasy items and communicate what's not right with the item.

From their other auctions it looks like they make several different versions of light up signs, all fantasy.

Cooper launched the 'knight's head' in their advertising in the very early 40's. Although, the Armored Cord tire itself had been in production much earlier. Here's a pic of my NOS Armored Cord tire that went on a very early automobile, maybe a model T with a nice Cooper tire holder and rack sign below it.

Also they are offering Harley and Goodyear signs. Beware.
