Paper weights or tie on a rope and use as an chor for a small fishing boat. They will probably give you $2.50 at junk yard maybe.

Hi diesel, There may be more stuff than that you will have to get rid of!I just pile it up and wait until I do another pump or something else that will generate enough "scrap" to convince someone else to haul it off for it!!

If the electric motor still works you can turn it into a nice buffing or grinding wheel.

The smell of old gas brings back fond memories. My wife really likes the smell of mixed gas. It brings back memories of the lake during the summer. Cant wait to get back on the lake. I am looking into a CCTV that I drop into the water around the resorts looking for signs my friend says they used to roll into the lakes to get rid of.

There are a lot of parts that can be used for rebuilding in those guts... if you can find a local rebuilder they will usually give you better than scrap price for them.

It's a outfit in Combined Locks in the appelton area called US oil they have a website. What I used to do when I used to find lots of pumps is I would gut them and take a pallet of pumps up at a time. It's about two hours north of me.I used to buy quite a few pumps from him also.It beats scapping them but I know it's not a option for some of you. I think some of the older stuff is being rebuilt and sent to other countries.
There is one thing about that style of Tokheim pumping unit that has always fascinated me, the big dome on the top can be removed and you can still pump from underground with it. That is where the chamber is that has the float for the air eliminator system. The chamber & float IS the air eliminator, and you can watch the air circulate OUT of the system there. It will not spray you and the fluid in the chamber stays at a certain level.

Take the electric motor off and turn it in seperatly as #2 copper. There is a lot of copper inside of those motors and I usually get $5-7 for the motor alone. There should also be a few copper pipes in the pump which you don't need and turn those in with the motor. Then sell the rest of the pile as scrap. If you can hold the parts until summer then metal prices go up.

I used to scrap the Tok pumping units but found someone who pays me 15.00 per unit whether its locked up or not. One year I hualed 15 or 20 to Iowa gas and someone there brought them to this buyer. People at Iowa Gas thought I was crazy bringing all those units to the show. LOL They need those units for rebuildable cores. They still are in use in Africa and a few other remote countries.

All the old Bennetts are going to MEXICO, to replace the "MEDEDORS" that is what the MEXICAN BENNETT meters have in the body casting....MEDEDOR, instead of METER UNIT. I had heard once , because Mexico's oil is state run, Bennett was the only pump used in Mexico. Anyone ever heard different?

Joe US Oil only buys Tokheim now. I guess the Bennetts were going to Michigan for rebuild and that dried up. At least the last I heard.
