Hi Guys,

I can't improve on the history of Whiting Bros. gas stations already presented by the well done article in the May 06 issue of CTO and the links posted by DB and Paddy.

What I can do is expand on a point made in the link posted by DB That the Whitings appear to have started out as sawmillers, lumber people, not gas station operators.

I think Whiting Bros. gas stations were a part of a larger business called Kaibab Industries which also included several sawmills.I'm not positive, but it would appear that Whiting Bros. was a division,so to speak,of Kaibab Industries at some point in the past.
