My wife and I live in Alvin,Texas and go to San Antonio often to tend to her brother who resides in a facility there. We take a back route instead of using I-10. This is off of 36 in Wallace through an old town square.

I wonder if anyone in the town has photos of the station back in the day?

I remember that old station from when I lived and worked in Houston years ago . Heck , I even stopped in there too. As for pictures , check with the main branch of the Houston Library as they mabye able to help . They have had SOME pictures in the past . Ed Shaver

I went to look into one of the windows on the side of the building and painted in white paint on one of the panes was" protected by Smith and Wesson" the next pane had written on it " go ahead and make my day"... so I got back into my truck and quietly left. There was a ton of stuff piled up in the area that looked like an old mechanics bay.
I think I will research it from a distance for now. I'll keep y'all posted.
