NOT SURE...THEY BOTH LOOK ODD TO ME ESP IN THE AIRCRAFT AND MARINA FONT STYLE. DIDN'T THEY USE ALL UPPER CASE ON THE WORDS?
JUST THE TERM MARINA DOESN'T SOUND RIGHT AT ALL. MARINE YES. THE SHADE OF BLUE LOOKS TOO LIGHT AS WELL. JM2C. BUYER BEWARE.

Isn't Marina slanting upwards at a slight angle, too? ITA, the font's all wrong.

I agree with the above....looks like the words aircraft & marina are not parallel to the word Mobilgas on the signs.

According to the Mobil Collector's & Price Guide, the "White Border Shields" for Marine and Aircraft products should be:

"Mobilgas Marine": 12.5 x 13 (4) 1947-1962 $850
Blue "Mobilgas over red "MARINE" across bottom of shield.

"Mobilgas Aircraft": 12.5 x 13 (4) 1947-1962 $1400
Blue "Mobilgas" over red "AIRCRAFT" across bottom of shield.

(4) means --"Rare- few are known to exist. They are around but are much harder to find". Prices are from the book, dated 1998.

IMHO - wrong fonts, a bit too light blue colors, missing mfg info at the lowest point of sign(MC AX or Texlite)

That font screams repo! on both!

Does Mobil now own a MARINA? The Mobil Marina? And this is the sign out front of it?

Did they sell MARINE related products for the MARINE market? YES

Bad English grammar, hallmarks of spam email and foreign words not quite translating correctly

Those two are the easier repos to spot.
