Things I have picked up here and there. Thanks Don for the Royal Flush can. Small Hudson can is as mint as you will ever see. Cites Service is paper although it looks like metal.

Here are mine from Turlock. The buy of the swap meet, and so far of the year, for me was the Polarine can.

Hello All,
It's been a while since I posted any buys, so here are some highlights. I FINALLY won a glass body, so now my Mobilgas Ethyl has a "proper" home! I got if off of the Capco, now it looks correct.

I purchased the larger 1936 Mobilgas poster on Ebay, then got to be pretty good pals with the seller via email. He said he had another Mobil poster which I ended up purchasing as well. I thought the Mobilgas Ethyl poster is a neat go along item with my globe. I think the "NEW" Ethyl came out in 1934 as far as I can tell. I love the graphics on these. The yellow poster is quite large and I had to have the frame made for that one. I think it looks great. Paper to me is much more rare than any porcelain or metal sign, I just wish there were more out there to add!

Lastly, here is a pic of some of the "smalls" additions. I got the gallon Gargoyle and window sprayer from Russ Jacobs, and the paint can from another Old Gasser Justin. Thanks guys. The Huffman oil bottle came out of a local shop pretty cheap. The UW grease can I bought cheap as well as it was not well described on Ebay. I've seen them sell for 2-3 times what I got this one for, and it is nice! Last item of note is the little Zippo magnifier. It was made in 1976 and has a fuel delivery truck on it with Pegasus on the tank. Not as old as I normally collect, but it was made the year I was born so I thought that was cool.
OK, enough for now.
Have a great day all,
Darin

Hi DW,

I too love the graphics of paper advertising;just can't be beat IMO.I have several framed posters.Another collector, more experienced than I am,looked at one of them and said "that's as good as a porcelain sigh".That made me feel better about what I spent to have it professionally framed!!

I also display a few framed pages from old Life magazines advertising Texaco and Atlas tires and batteries.Graphics are great and they don't take up much room.
