There definitely was a "Worthmore Oil" brand, Tom. I have a Worthmore mini-oil can bank that is red and cream. It isn't in front of me at this moment, so I can't give you more specifics (like a corporate headquarters). But, I'm sure someone else will chime in here. Best, John in Wisconsin

Since oil companies never made anything besides oil, some equipment company must have made this. If Worthmore was a large company they could have specified exactly what they wanted and had it made by the equipment company. Since only a few on this site have ever heard of Worthmore, my assumption is that some equipment company offered these out to the oil companies and Worthmore purchase some of them and had their name put on them.
It would be interesting to know if there is any tags on the pumps, how was this refilled, what type of tanks are inside and if they have any identification on them.
I clicked on the image and looked at the enlarge picture, but I don't remember anything in my all my literature that even come close to this dispenser.
Very unusual and interesting piece, did you purchase it?

Mutual Dealers Wholesale out of St. Paul, MN sold Worthmore oil. I'm not sure if its the same company as the lubester.

Hi, Gang. Here's the picture of the Worthmore mini-oil can bank I have. The typeface on the can appears to match Tom's oil dispenser.
Here is the copy that is printed on my mini-oil can bank:
"It's wise to be thrifty. Your Mutual Dealer, cooperating wuth 2,500 other Independent dealers, offers Nationally Advertised merchandise and items of equivalent quality at thrifty money-saving prices."
"Every Worthmore Brand item offered is Guaranteed to be satisfactory. When you trade with your local Mutual Dealer you are keeping dollars at work in your own town."
Hope this adds a little something to the info already presented here. John in Wisconsin
