Just picked up a Tokheim 39 tall pump at Hershey. It needs a lot of work, but I think I can turn it in to something nice. It has an ad glass over the window and two small ad glass panels on the sides. My problem is how the doors get mounted? Each door has a bracket near the top with a round hole in it. There are two pins inside the frame. There doesn't seem to be a place for a hinge at the bottom of the door. I know that replacement hinges can be ordered but I still think that something is missing here. Also is there any kind of mechanism that holds the doors shut? Is anyone familiar with this pump?

There were a couple of different styles of doors for those pumps.

One style used hinged doors, and would have a lever system that would lock the doors from the inside, you could release them through the side access door.

The other style the doors popped on and used a lock at the bottom of the door to hold them closed. You could use a key to unlock them from the outside of the pump.

Hope this helps.
