As good as the attendance at Turlock was, Escalon should be pretty good for the petro enthusiast. Lots of buyers and vendors. Does anybody in the LA area know if GPR still has his black cat garage meet OR if Roy Reed is having his bash this year ? Larry

Friday is the best day for buying IMO. I will be there Friday and Saturday selling, unless it decides to RAIN. This show is outdoors in a field. As good as the attendance at Turlock was, Escalon should be pretty good for the petro enthusiast. Lots of buyers and vendors. Does anybody in the LA area know if GPR still has his black cat garage meet OR if Roy Reed is having his bash this year ? Larry I believe Roy Reed's bash is in April.

Hey wait Dick I live 10 miles out towards the Sierra's and at an elevation of a whole 90 feet. WOW It snows here sometimes and my 10 acres has a 1 foot drop. I know about those Flat Landers. LOL I just drive up to my cabin to get my mountain fix. We have been lucky as no fires near us but if there is then there will be mud. My collection up there will get dirty. LOL Ted

In cases of rain, bring your own SOAP. Trucks will need to be washed after getting off field. I have PT Friday evening, so can't go again this year.

As for the rain latest says maybe rain Friday p.m. clear out by Sat. morning. No heat wave but beats the hell out of the rest of the country. As far as rain bring a pop up and a warm coat.Ted

I had a great time. It began to rain at about noon. A little sprinkles before then. It was great running in to all of you again. I will post photos from the show later, since I have a bunch and it will take time to upload. For now, here is what I picked up: Bright Valvoline sign with only 1 scratch. 2 nicks in the Gulf sign Looked to be N.O.S. Repo Delco sign for a temporary wall hanger and my FAVORITE....Quaker State vertical sign form 1950

Independent Ethyl belongs to Mike Mihkelson 562-225-4730. The Veedol and Valvoline thermometers belong to Daryl Fritche, Don't have his number but he sells on ebay under the name djsad.

I would like to know. I have, surprisingly, never been to this show, and I keep hearing it is a good one. As good as Fred's and Roy's? That will be a high standard to meet

I found Escalon and Fred's to be good.
I once saw a bumper sticker that read "A bad day at the swap meet is better than a good day at work". I would apply this great proverb to any swap meet.
