Windex or any glass cleaner for the front. The lettering is reversed painted so just don't scrub the backside painted surface. On the back or very dirty glass, I use "Dawn" or "Ivory" dish washing detergent. I use something mild to the skin, as it won't/ shouldn't be hard on paint.

I find that Dawn dish washing soap and hot water works wonders. The magic eraser isn't a bad idea either.
