Both of these lenses look to be old but they are different. The one on the left the logo is higher on the lense. And the font and size of "Lubricating Motor Fuel" is different.

Is one of them a repop?

Good catch! I hadn't noticed that when I first saw them but its pretty evident. Don't know about the repop part? Maybe someone else knows??

I SEE SEVERAL DIFFERENCES, SUGGESTING THAT ONE IS A REPRO.

I have dealt with this seller in the past and have seen several of his globe auctions. I doubt either is repo and they do not appear to be repo to me.

I thought they looked good. Maybe from 2 different manufacturers? I would guess with the many lenses made not all are going to be 100% the same with the exact same alignment.
Just my thoughts...

IMO - I'd say that they were both correct and 'original' lenses.

Just goes to show that standards for logos were not strictly controlled 'back in the day' like they are now.

You'd NEVER see any deviations in a COKE logo in todays world - but you often see subtle differences in old logos. And sometimes not so subtle differences in logos from the same time period and company.

Later . . .

Jim
