Has anybody painted a repro Capco body a custom color to match their pump? And if so, how did you do it?

They have that paint that bonds to plastic, but not sure how many colors. I've used it before on other plastic and works great. Menards, Walmart.

If you want to use base/clear your best bet would be a metal body.

There is a plastic primer [spray can] that is called adhesion promoter. It can be purchased at an auto parts store and is made for plastic applications. All that is needed is to clean the item throughly with alcohol before applying the primer, followed by your paint.

Thunder....it's called FUSION paint and it's available anywhere Krylon is sold. It is great for things just like this, no priming necessary other than an initial mist-coat. I use it to make ad glass or lenses with vinyl reverse lettering. Normal spray-paint shrinks & distorts the vinyl but this fusion bonds to it. Give it a try.
