Okay... so I am sending off my Veeder Root from my Wayne 40 for a rebuild, the sheet metal is mostly gone, anyone know where I can find replacement sheet metal for this?

Thanks,

Jim

I have a large container of Veeder-Root sheet metal, I just don't know what it fits if there is a difference.

BTW, is that little car a Goggamobil, if not what is it.

The 8 inch computers take a one piece sheetmetl cover, but there are two or three types.

Is that a 1967 model 51 Leasure Dream chair? It looks like the burnt orange model, the one they called the THINKING Chair?

We have a winner.... it's a 1948-1/2 Crosley. The coupe is a 32 Chevy.

There is a difference between a 1934 and 1935
sheet metal.
That is a 1933 and will take 1934 type sheet metal on top
I have never seen the bottom band intact on that model.
The guy who changed the price threw them all away mad

Maybe we could all sweet talk Scobie into making a batch or two of tops on the laser cutter.
I could use a couple myself.
They could be sold flat w/ indents for bend location and bent local.

In the pic the 35 has the aluminum PAT./ TOTALIZER plate,
the one on the left is a 32-33 top
The difference between a 33 and a 34 is.... the 34 will NOT have the notch on the bottom right
the 32-33-34 metal is all the same heigth
35 metal is taller without notch on bottom right due to mount ear being lowered in 1934
what is shown is a 33 top and a 35 top,
a 34 will be same heigth as 33 without the notch on the bottom right....
3 types of top sheetmetal for the 8" computers
2 types for the variator cover...1932-33 wide, 1934-35+ narrow

I still need 1, 35 top and 1, 34 top.
I also need one 32 variator band.....approx 4 tall w/ hasp

There is also supposed to be a flat bar that goes on top, under the sheet metal that is bent at each end and threaded to accept the top dial face screw.
I have the three 8" bars I need but I still need one for a 10 3/4" computer from a Tokheim #36

Boy, sounds like the sheet metal is some sought after stuff.... I have 1/2 of the top, and I do have the little bar that goes across the top and the top face screw attaches to it.
