Went to an auction on Sunday in Alexandria, In, no sign of a recession there....a restored National 90, Aztec, clock face with an original shell clam globe went for $3200. A Rush 10 gallon visible restored with a acrylic cylinder and repop globe brought $2500. The signs were especially high as always. Someone was looking for Gillette items, a 6 foot embossed vertical Gillette Tires went for $675, had some surface rust and other dings. I picked up a Vendo 39 pop machine that needs a drum. We are off to a healthy start.

I went to an auction in SE KS Sunday and there were 25+ JUNK signs. They were for the most part condition 4-6 and all brought 200-600. Also, there was 6-10 different spirited bidders for the *****.

I continued to be amazed at what entry level/novice collectors pay for low end items at the local level.

Collect small Oklahoma Oil Co.'s 1920's-1940's. Barnsdall, Cushing, Eason, Marland, etc.

IMO....as the value of the dollar goes down, it would take more dollars to buy the same thing- it seems this stuff should start costing more.
