Gilmore Sign on Ebay
Does anyone have an opinion on the gilmore sign? It looks good but condition is a little rough. Where will you find another?

I went and saw it yesterday in person, and IMO it is original. It has some wear as to be expected for an original, tin, hand painted sign. I have seen some repros before, but this is the first one that I have seen that I believe to be original. It will be interesting to see what it brings. This is an EXTREMELY rare sign.

Looks like a very rare sign, just the right amount of character to give it that old charm. Still has over two days to go, has not met reserve yet.

Thanks Dennis. Ok if it is real, what will it bring? I am guessing $5500. Anyone else have a guess.

Probably less, would have looked Fake.
Most painted GILMORE signs were painted by a local/regional sign shop to GILMORE specs. No 2 painters can/will paint the Lion the same way.
Have seen the same sign painted on wood.

I think that sign is awesome and really priced right at $4G's,,, as a Canadian I gave it serious consideration to acquiring it,,I came that close to putting a bid of $6K on it at the end,,,the graphics don't get any better..just awesome,, that is an investment piece for sure.. IMO.,

I agree wes. Where will you find another? I am surprised it did not go for more.
