I have seen photos of this guys stuff before and have wondered why he ruined all those sign poles by shortening them?

I think they look good like that. Less chance of the wind knocking them over that way.

I GO BY THERE OFTEN, REAL SLOW MOST OF THE TIME. LOOKS LIKE HE SHORTENED THE POLES SO MAYBE HE COULD WORK AND INSTALL THEM EASIER, HE IS AN OLDER FELLA. AWSOME COLLECTION!!!!!!

Thanks for posting that Jim. I used to live about 2 hours away from Wausau and went there occasionally but never saw his collection. But then again I've never been on Hwy 52. I'll have to check it out the next time I go "home".

I grew up in Mosinee, only about 20 minutes or so from here. The first time Wes came to visit me, we went to the Eau Clarie Dells and this is on the way. I hardly noticed it since it had been there as long as I could remember, but when he saw it, he made me turn around to take pictures! Never stopped in to talk to the guy, though...
