Anyone see American Pickers tonight with the visible pumps? I know there is much discussion good and bad about this show and what's staged for TV. These guys can also be idiots but this was an interesting episode.

Well what did you think , they made a good deal at $1000 for the two pumps, And the guy who bought them to restore for $1600 must have got what he wanted.

The guy that bought the pumps said the second pump was a Wayne but it looked like a Guarantee Speedboy to me. The G&B was missing some parts and looked like the base was rusted?? The Dayton they bought in an earlier episode looks like it is standing outside their shop in many of the other shows I watched so maybe they did not sell it yet?

I think I had this show confused with Pawn Stars. Have watched it the last couple of weeks during the WTTW beg-a-thons, and it's not as bad as I had thought it could be. When Antiques Roadshow returns, I'll go back to my regular viewing.

I agree on the bike rack. It was sweet!! They bought the pumps a little under what they where worth in there condition. What they sold them for was a little high in my book. But as long as both parties are happy thats what matters. I like the show & will keep watching it also smile

I'm waiting for the home owner who comes out with a dbl-barreled shotgun who gives them 10 sec to get off his property. Now that will be entertainment at it's finest! grin
