Buyers market out there. Low end and middle end items are low right now. As alot have already stated, the good stuff will always bring good money.

This is happening in other areas of collecting as well. The gas & oil has held up better than other areas. Ask anyone into antique furniture or clocks.

As some of you know I carve and collect duck decoys and have been heavy into this area. It's held up well, with 2 private sales over 1 million each for single decoys. (no not mine!!)

Recently I have been buying fish decoys by a certain carver really agressively. Both because I like them, and they will go up in value over time.

Still in the petro, but just haven't come across anything good lately.

I did come across a great Lionel Santa Fe set from 1952 that I could not resist and the price was right!!!

I guess this is what keeps us all going.......
