I recently bought this double sided United Motors service arrow. I haven't found much out other than a 9.5 graded sign recently sold for $6050.00 at auction, mine isn't in that condition. Has anyone scene one of similar condition sell? Any advice on how to best go about selling it would be appreciated. Also should a sign with this potential be profesionally restored or should it be left as is?

Dont restore it you wont get anymore money for it and collectors that what to buy it will know exactly what condition it is in. Tough sign to find in any condition. It sure looks good from the pic.

Thanks I'm very excited about it. I'm glad you said that because I think it's great just the way it is and want to leave it alone.

I found it on Craig's List. Found it just after it was listed. Right place, right time.

Yeah it is double sided and each side is of similar condition. The sign measures 14" tall and 42" long.

Welcome aboard and Love the sign. Keep it as is would be my advice. I don't have any advice on selling because I am a true collector. I collect and collect and collect. Just ask my Wife. I have a couple of items I could easily make 20 times the amount I paid for them. BUT, I would never ever have a chance to own another item like them. So they are bolted down to the concrete for me and everyone else to enjoy. Whoever outlasts me will get the pleasure of selling or disposing of my collection. Mike
