Working on a visible that has what looks like original lead sign, lots of chipping.

But on the back most of the label is intact, I have seen that on the smaller later type but not sure if I have seen one of the old ones. I will write it out.

ETHYL GASOLINE WARNING PLATE

To be attached to Ethyl Gasoline pumps within the limits of 4 and 5 feet above the ground level.

A sign shall be maintained on the face of each side of the pump, at which delivery of Ethyl Gasoline could be made.

"Curb" pumps shall be equipped with one, and "Island" pumps with two Ethyl Gasoline warning plates.

ETHYL GASOLINE CORPORATION

This is an porcelain enameled sign and will not fade or tarnish, and if not abused or defaced, will last indefinitely.

Use flathead bolts and do not screw too tightly, so as to allow for expansion during hot weather.

Do not bend plate or you wil chip the enamel.

Be careful not to strike the face of the plate with a metallic object.

Use only the holes provided for in attaching this against the pump.
