I drove to Batesville Indiana tuesday and picked up my first visible gas pump...When I got there he also had a wayne 70 that he suddenly decided to get rid of...I already have a Wayne 70 and thought they'd look good together...So I bought both..
Question for Fry 70:
1)Can I get the little handle/lever that set the gallons inside the door? repo or original?
2)What globe went on top?(visible, crown, metal body?)
3)Does anyone have pictures of 1 of these restored?
I think I'm gonna get a little fry sign, decal, new hose+knozzle and repo globe for now and leave as is...
Any other info on the fry 70 would be great also...Jack's book says 1928...
Here are some pics...Cylinder made the trip with flying colors thanks to a spare tire. LOL
The Wayne 70 faceplates say Firestone? Why???
I appreciate any help...THANKS!!!!

At one time FIRESTONE had Full Service Centers, not just tires. They even had WAYNE make a special pump for them Model # 72-R [approx 4' tall x 6' wide, looks like a Slamed & Stretched 60].
A lot of WAYNE 50 Showcase pumps when found still have porcelain FIRESTONE signs attached around bottom.

Good looking pumps. If you need an original Firestone ad glass for the 70, I have a good used one(only one). Just let me know if interested...Dale
