Just picked up a Come to Chevron Island sign with palm tree design, round larger sign. I was wondering when did Chevron change the chevron logo from the larger white in middle to smaller white between the red and blue on chevron? I am figuring this sign to be from early 60s but could be late 50s?

According to Guide To Gasoline Logos book, They changed in 1970 to the bigger logo, like your explaining.

I love collecting Chevron but know nothing about company history. Got a picture?
