Hi,
I have this Cosden Liquid Gas sign and I cannot find out anything about it! It's 42 inches, double sided, and is NOT a heating gas product as it has HORSEPOWER PLUS on it, which indicates that it is an engine gas. I'd hate to sell myself short on this accepting the first offer I get.

Very cool sign!

Be sure you get a fair price...

Probably 1930-38 based on the globe book's dates for the Liquid Gas globe. Cosden was around from '27 to '63.

What is the difference between this Cosden and the Cosden & Co. precursor to Mid-Continent Petroleum?
Nice sign, BTW.

This Cosden company, Cosden Petroleum, was organized by Josh Cosden after he lost control of his previous holdings when Mid Continent was formed. It was eventually bought out by Fina (in 63) (paraphrased from history in globe book).

I've been looking for items from the original Cosden and Company, and I have so far been unsuccessful. All I've found are some online legal documents that refer to the fact taht Cosden and Co became Mid Continent, which I already knew.
