WISH I COULD HELP, KMANN. I'D LIKE TO DO "INVADER" BUT THERE IS "0" INFO OUT THERE ON THIS COMPANY. THEN AGAIN, LET'S REMEMBER THAT I'VE ALREADY DONE KENDALL, TEXACO AND QUAKER STATE!
INVADER WOULD BE EASY IF I ONLY HAD THE INFO.
C'MON OLDGASSERS, LET'S BE PROUD OF OUR OIL COMPANY HISTORIES. THERE ARE PLENTY COMPANIES STILL TO BE DONE!
...SO GET~R~DONE!

I don't think a detailed history of a company is necessary to do COTM. If there is not much known about a company put it out there anyway and maybe something will surface from someone elses collection. Just get it started and lets see if the members have something from that company to share.
What about doing a company of the month on small marketers from each (or select) states. I know I have several items from several small Colorado oil companies I would like to share but these companies were too small to justify their own COTM. But as a group a Oriental, Fargo, Cliff Brice, Autolene, Summit, Sommers, Gem, Speedway, Motoroyal, Bay (I'm sure I'm missing a few but you get the point) COTM might be interesting. Just throwing it out there. Any input?

According to 2006 US Census Bureau stats NY has a pop. of 19,306,183 or 6.36% of the US population. Colorado comes in with a pop. of 4,753,377 or 1.56% of the estimated US population. So if the score is: NY = 6 CO=5
Per capita CO has smoked NY!!! How has CA done with 12%? And how about TX with a surprising (at least to me) 7.74%?
Come on guys! Let's keep COTM alive! I don't usually have anything to add but I enjoy looking at the COTM posts.
If someone out there has some knowledge of a company but needs help with getting pictures up or something like that I'm sure we can help you with it.
