Although this sign does look fake, orange peel in porcelain isnt a clue if it is old or not. in fact many signs of the 20's and 30's have a heavy uneven surface.also different manufactorers could account for different levels of finish. Property of does look like a stencil & spry painted on. If it was done when it was made it would be in the porcelain on the back more than likely.
