Hey Jim or Oldgas so far if this is how the new upgrades on this website are going to work it looks good to me. I also like seeing who are newest members are. I havent tried to post a picture yet hopefully it will go well. I also like in the far right what the latest subject is i think thats great. So thank you for making it so easy unlike some other websites that just change everything and its a whole new learning experience.

Originals only for me. Always looking for Simpson oil, Super A, and MFA oil cans and globes.

Yes, the font is smaller, but for some reason, its seems "crisper" and easier for me to read.
So far, so good!

These changes are for the good. One thing I really like is the ability to PM somebody. I also like the tab to report a post, it will probably help make a moderating job easier.

Thanks for the comments and encouragement. The way this looks and operates is not the end result. We are in an intermediate step that had to be taken in order to get to the powerful and new system that is coming. You'll like some new features. We'll all have to adjust to some changes. Hopefully nearly all changes will be for the better.

Another step is coming and it will be a big one. The new system works completely different behind the scenes. We'll try to make it easy to get used to on the side visible to the public.

There will be another time period that the Shop Talk forum will be turned off to make the switch. I'll let you know on this forum when it's coming.

I'm really happy it is going smoothly so far. Hang on for better things to come. cool

Yea OldNFuelish - I could see the "Rate Member" thing getting out of control and causing fights between members and their "associated hooligans". Not a headache anyone needs to be bothered with in my opinion.

Jim, one thing I've never understood is why is there not a place to put your name on your profile? I don't know a lot of people's name and lots of people never use their name in their posts. Believe it or not, I haven't posted several times because I like to address people by their name. I try to always end a post with my name. Some people may not want there name known. Have I missed where name can be added? Changes are looking good! Pat.

Looking for early Pure Oil Company items(Energee,Detonox,Puritan)as well as any Woco Pep items.

I hope I'm not overlooking something but how do you get the lightbulbs on the left to go away when you have looked at a post? In the past you could hit refresh and that would reset everything but that doesn't seem to work anymore. Other than that everything looks great.

Jim, been spending the week playing around and getting a feel for it all and I gotta say that even if you stopped upgrading here, I'd be pretty impressed with things. Looking forward to what the last upgrade will bring.

Looking good so far! This is my first post since the changes started. Gone back to lurking mostly but just wanted to say I am grateful that Jim is so dedicated to this site and thanks to him for the the work he puts into it.
Also couldn't help myself from pointing out that Dick was probably the first member to disable the rate member feature! wink Go figure. Sorry Dick...I thought it was funny!

Looks like we may be a day or two away from the big upgrade changeover for Shop Talk. The forum will then shut down for a while. Don't panic!

We are trying to import all old topics and memberships into the new system. This is like jacking up the air cleaner and changing the engine underneath at 70 mph while your family is in the car. I'll be gentle, but we may lose some topics posted the day of the upgrade.

Looking good so far. Any chance we'll get to have avatars? I sure some folks hate that stuff, but I get kick out of what people use to represent himself/herself.
