I am looking for some info on this Sinclair sign. It measures 28 inches by 20 inches and is self framed with a 1 inch lip. It has 4 mounting holes in the corners and also 2 oval holes under the word gasoline. How would this have mounted and onto what?? Also any idea on value? It is marked Burdick and also the number 1523 on the backside.

Keith

Old pricing sign from the early 20s, the slot held numbers for the gas price...

Value: $350?

pretty uncommon sign!
embossed, self-framed porcelain...
I'd say 500+...Even with those chips...
Better hang that one...doubt you'll see another for quite awhile...LOL just my 2 cents...

This was a pricer sign like mentioned above. The two slots held numbers that could be changed when the price of gas changed. It should be a heavy sign. There are two versions of this sign, the one like your and another version with red lettering as shown below. They do not show up for sale to often. It looks like your sign has some good gloss left on it.

Thanks for the all the info. Yes it is a heavy sign and the colors and gloss are very good. Just has some chips as seen in the picture.
