What year did Roxana Petroleum cease?
Rephrase Question- what year did Shell drop the Roxana
name from there products?....ebay # 380234148649

it hasn't shell sold to conoco/phillips, and there is always pemcore.....It seems to me it was sold after "w" came into office 2001-2002 timeframe.

I don't have my books with me, but I believe the Wood River refinery was known as Roxanna in the early 20th century and then became Shell Roxanna after that, but I don't recall what year.

I read--in 1922 Shell Co.of Ca.and Roxana Petro.merged with Union Oil Co.of Delaware to form a holding co.called Shell Union Oil Corp.--Since then Shell has gone through several name changes.Based on this i assume 1922 was the end of Roxana Petro.
