Back in the mid-80 when I started painting pumps, I went to the duPont paint store. No computers at that time, they went into books looking for paint codes. I asked them to find the oldest book they had and look up the Texaco paint codes. The book went back into the 50s, and Texaco had at least 10 different reds. This was the same for all the oil companies we looked up.
If you don't match the colors on the decals and globe with something right between the two, your pump will not look correct with three different blues.
One more thing, there are no pump police (this is a term I made up back in the 80s) out there who will come up to you and tell you that blue is not correct.

I'm sure glad there is no pump police, although there is some people I met they could have been!!

You are correct to match the blue with decal or globe to look correct.
Thanks
Bob
