Hi all,

I am new here and am interested in restoring a pump. I think I can and I do want to do the work to do one. My problem is I live in Gillette WY, I don't have anything near me. Where is a good place to look at or for them? Are there swap meets or dealers near me?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Brad

Well you could try the ways you stated or you could look on Ebay & even on here in the for sale section. You could also hit old farms, service stations & fuel dealers to see if there are some around. Once you get a eye for them you will see them all over

Welcome to the Greatest Site on the Net. I used to live in Casper and Glen Rock several years ago before moving back to Okla. I have bought about 12 pumps in the last several years just by going on drives with my wife on Saturdays and Sundays and looking around old farms and ranches. Last year we were on vacation in Utah and Colo. and I spoted 3 pumps at different places and all at old farm house and just stopped and asked if the old pump setting behind the barn was for sale and I bought all 3 of them for little or nothing. Just keep your eyes peeled. You can alway buy one here on this site but half the fun is searching out tips, ask around, the main thing is to enjoy it all. Again Welcome and all here are your friends. there are a few collectors in Gillette, I have the card or one or two of them around here. Send me an email from my profile and I will hook you up with one of them.

If you have a rural electric co-op, try their classified ads in their newsletter. Farmers have them squirreled away and aren't looking for top dollar to sell them. I've bought them from $10 to $200. Even gotten a couple gasboys for free.

Powerlube that would be great if you find the names. My job takes me onto ranches in the Arvada WY area, so I get to go out on them already. I would assume it costs alot to ship one from a great distace so I want one local.

Thanks for the fast replys

Welcome to Oldgas. What kind of pump are you looking for? I have an MS 80 with the ad glass that I would be willing to sell. As far as shipping other pumps, there a were other discussions about contacting NothAmerican to arrange for shipping th at is reasonable. Shoot me an email if interested inthe MS 80.

Glad to have you on oldgas.com. Post an ad on this site under Want to Buy and indicate that you'd like to find a pump near you and see what happens. Dave Folck
