I know the Aqua pumps aren't ultra flashy but this one is pretty neat with the original top. Hey and there isn't one in the book Jack. I told my wife that's why I "HAD" to buy it. She beleived me! It's marked 850T I suppose for Tydol as the regular is the 850 or 850s. Two shoeboxes in two weeks. Wish I could be like those two Roman columns guys in two weeks.

I'm sorry Ryan but somebody told me you had way too many pumps and one more would break the camels back. Maybe we can make a deal on something you have.

I would even let my wife go to the store. Hell, I might even encourage her.

Are you going to restore it as a tydol? I'm curious as to what you might do as I don't know what paint schemes Tydol used during the time Tydol was around . Ed Shaver

For sure! I will take a little time using Photoshop to see what color schemes look like. I know that's cheating but technology helps every once in a while. I am thinking of antique white with orange and black accents. Don't want to go to the typical Phillps 66/Harley orange and black. Also wnat to make sure the chrome strips jump out.

I like the guys description from the Ebay listing: "It is a wreck". Looks pretty nice to me, very cool pump. Post some pictures when it's finished.

That is a cool pump. Another one to ad to the list of Tydol spec pumps. I would like a regular one and that Tydol is a bonus. With the style of lenses it has it would be orange with the black that it currantly has including the base.

Will post pics when done for sure. Matt I sent youa note re my 36B Tydol. Does a 36B shoebox have a standard top that will accept both the shoebox and regular top? You stated that my 36B probably wasn't a tydol spec but i can't find any pics to determine otherwise and the original tydol decal, strips and other pieces are all very original at least to that pump???

According to PCMs gas pump resto book the original colors for Tydol regular were black base and a 14 inch black vertical band up the center of the doors and up to the top, and orange sides and around window (1936-40). From 41-46 they could be the same or all black. Based on the look of the shoebox, yours seem to be in the 36-40 time frame. Ethyl pumps were cream colored with the same black fields from 36-46. br Claes
