I would appreciate your opinions of a 15 inch Texaco Globe with Original Metal Holder. Both lenses are there. Excellent condition with original paint onthe globe holder. What range from wholesale to retail? Thanks.

P.S. The lens looks better than the picture. Trying to resize it to fit Oldgas, it loses something in the distortion. There are no black spots on it.

Check out Scott Benjamin's website. He has a single lens on a body for $3250

That style was the one scott found a couple of years ago and wrote an article about it in PCM. If you have some back issues you may want to take a look.

In any case, its a very, very rare globe and the kind of piece that anyone would like to own. If its pleasing to you, I'd go get it and you'll have something that very few people will ever own! Besides that, these rare globes usually turn up in poor condition but this one looks pretty darn good!
Hey--if you don't want it, pass it along to another Old Gasser!

I think Tom already has the globe....Dennis is right with the one Scott has but then its been on there for sale for 6 months without selling either....so based on that premise I would say top at 6k and wholesale at 5k....mm

Hi Guys. I didn't mean to mislead anyone. I do have this in my collection. Minuteman has seen it. I have been doing a little bookkeeping and looking into some insurance. I appreciate eveyone's two-cents. Thanks. If others have opinions, I would appreciate hearing them. Thanks again and Happy Father's Day.

P.S. If anyone has a copy of Scott's article, I would appreciate a copy of it. Thanks.
