Found this tag on the frame of a GB96 which I am redoing and thought it was neat. It says "THIS PUMP, THE STORAGE TANK SUPPLYING IT AND ALL PIPING AND OTHER EQUIPMENT BOTH ABOVE AND UNDERGROUND, CONNECTED WITH IT, IS THE SOLE PROPERTY OF THE STANDARD OIL COMPANY OF LOUISIANA"
Looks like it was a pump that was rebranded to Standard at some point. I was curious if a lot of companies marked their pumps like this or was this just Standard pactice, pardon the pun. Have a pic if someone will post it for me. Does anyone else have pics of similar pump tags?

In our area a good many years ago some of the oil companies would provide the farms with gas pumps as long as they supplied you with gas. They retained ownership of the pump and if you switched suppliers they would come get the pump. They had plates on the pumps similair to yours. Richard

Not long ago I had 2 GB 96C`s with the same exact message except it says "Standard Oil New Jersey.--Greg Brown

Your tag was attached when the station was originaly setup by STANDARD, because it list the tanks, pipeing etc.
