Have a chance to buy a 5' Veltex round sign.I have no pictures and understand its hard to put a price on something like that. The sign is behind other signs. Want to have an idea before i go back over there and start unstacking everything in front of it,and what a fair offer these signs go for in various conditions. Any help appreciated Thanks.

Veltex items are worth good money. Without knowing what the sign looks like and not knowing if there are hidden condition problems, I don't think anyone can give you an idea on what to offer.
A Veltex sign, is worth digging out of a pile of other signs. Play it by ear after you get it out and see its condition, then go from there. A 5' could go for anywhere from $350-$1200+,IMO, depending on condition and the seller/buyer. Honestly can't remember the last time I saw a large Veltex sign on ebay or at an auction. I see where Matthews' will be auctioning a Veltex 18" door plate at Iowa.

i agree with Doc....after asking here about a 4' veltex & doing some reasearch i think one from the 1930's & 5' in size may go for $2500+ in good condition......

Thanks to everyone for the help. I'll have the guy dig it out and check condition of the sign. Trying to get a price out of him but he wants me to make an offer. This could be a tough one.

All I can say is good luck. I never have a problem when someone says, "Make an offer". Usually they don't like my offer so that is always a tough call. Mike

I'd offer him 1/2 of what YOU want to give, so when he ups the price maybe you'll still be OK. jm2c
