Ok, I 'll be upfront there. I am a Breweriana collector. Been looking for a good site/ foruimn on Petrolian, like we have. I hope I have found the right place??
I recently acquired a very nice Quaker MAID, 13' Round thermometer, and have no idea where to find info on it? Google has nearly nothing on Quaker Maid items, but again I admit I am novice to the oil collectibles game.

Anyone have any idea where to look for info, or what it might be worth. I'd give it a 9, on the 1-10 scale

Does it have the picture of the Quaker Maid girl on the thermometer? Good graphics always help the value. Please post a picture of the item to get a value opinion.

I believe Quaker Maid was a St. Louis company, they used to sell re-refinded oil for about $.29 a quart. Many of us here in SL used it to keep our old junkers running back in the 60s and 70s.
