all gonna depend on how crowded it is by the time you get there.i was thinking of bringing a trailer, but have pretty much decided not to so i can get a spot(i hope)close up front.and i usually leave my car where it is till im ready to leave.take the shuttles to dinner and such.there was parking on one side of the hotel for trailers but not sure if that is gonna be open this year.

The city police put up paper "No Parking" signs on nearby residential streets. Watch where you park to avoid problems.

Parking is always a problem. That's why I always rent an outdoor vendors spot to park in and then that leaves me one spot to vend out of. Pat.

Taken directly from the info provided by the organizers of the show:

"All market activities shall take place on the paved areas of the site as identified on the site sketch submitted with the application. The use of grass areas for parking, display, sales of other related purposes shall be prohibitted."

The info packet also states:

"In past years, participants have been allowed the use of the grassy areas on the North side of the Holiday Inn parking lot for vending and vehicle/trailer parking. The Holiday Inn owners and Iowa Gas have recently been notified that, due to local zoning, this area is no longer available for our use. The area will be fenced and violators will be ticketed and towed. All Grassy areas around spaces 1 through 39, 40, 99 and 115 through 129 are included.

If you have vehicles or trailers that do not fit in your assigned space, please park them in the airport parking lot South of the Holiday Inn. The rate is $4.00 per day. Do not park in other vending spaces."

Later . . .

Jim

Like Dick said it is right accross the street. It looks like we are going to have to park our trucks and trailers there with these new rules. It was nice to use the empty grass lot by the hotel.

So...even though I'm paying to stay at the Holiday Inn, I won't be allowed to park my truck (not vending) there? I sure don't like the idea of my vehicle being across the street from the hotel. Or am I misunderstanding?

2yrs ago I seen the parking police put up the signs about 10am on Wednesday, less than an hour later they were back writing tickets on All, even the residents got ticketed.

You can still park in the main parking lot out front, if you can find a space.

Tara,
Because the Hotel parking is used for the Swap area, parking is a premium. Do a google map search & look at the aero view.
Just across a small street on south side.

Tara your Younger than most of us, it won't hurt ya !
We spend hundreds/thousands of $ on getting there & for toys, but we still complain about having to pay $4 a day for parking !
