I TOOK THE TIME TO EXPLAIN TO THE SELLER THAT HIS PIECE WAS NOT ORIGINAL, BUT A FANTASY PIECE MADE FOR CHAIN THEME RESTAURANTS.

I SAID THAT IF THEY HAD ANY CONSCIENCE, THEY WOULD DO THE RIGHT THING AND TAKE IT DOWN.

The seller is honest. He pulled the auction and relisted it as a fantasy sign with a $9.99 starting bid. Auction # 110572310777

This is his reason for relisting it;

"Many of you will remember this item which I just had listed. I ended the item early before the end of the Auction after receiving numerous emails from Ebayers that this is not an original sign but rather a repro "Fantasy" sign. I will trust that they are correct. I have revised this listing to reflect that. I am an honest seller and have sold over 2000 items in 2 years with 100 percent feedback."

I GOT AN EMAIL BACK FROM HIM SAYING THAT ALONG WITH MY REQUEST TO DO THE RIGHT THING, HE HAD RECV'D 3 OTHER EMAILS TELLING HIM THAT THE SIGN WAS NOT AN ORIGINAL.

HE DID SAY THAT HE IS HONEST AND WOULD DO THE RIGHT THING AND RELIST IT.

It certainly has a worn patina that looks authenic, which of course means nothing. Just look at any of the Argentina signs.
