I'm restoring a Wayne 615 that I'm planning on mounting outside my garage. One of the parts I need to replace is the glass cylinder. How well do the acrylic and extruded plastic cylinders stand up to sunlight and weather? Thanks!! John

John, I have a cast acrylic cyclinder on a National pump here in Minnesota(-30F to +95). It has been outside for 8 years. Right now it looks more like Saran Wrap than it did the day I put it in. I'm satisfied with that as the pump needs to be repainted... You can NOT expect that much life from an extruded cylinder. Ron Scobie
