Hello, can anyone tell me when my eco tireflator model 97 was first manufactured? Also a good source for restoration parts?
Thank You
Bill

The ECO 97 (wall mount) was introduced in 1948. I wrote a book on air meters called "Tireflators" back in 1996, which identifies over 170 air meters made since 1897. Copies are still available. I also have a website (www.crspub.com) where I sell parts for the ECOs. You can also access my gas pump website from there. Welcome to the hobby.

Last night I found an old, but very clean! ECO model 89, I am almost positive it was an 89 but their was so much to look at in this mans collection I didnt want to spend the entire time looking at Model Numbers. Can you give me an indication of what this meter may be worth? Like I said it is very clean, original and most likely works well!

He also indicated to me that the bell still works, something about how you set the gauage or meter, start pumping and when the desired tire pressure is reached the bell starts going off.

Thanks!

Blakestar: There was no ECO 89. If it is on a pedestal, it is probably a 98.
Punch in ECO on ebay, you can get an idea of what they are selling for.
