I have heard there will be a swap meet in Fort Worth, Texas during April 27-30. I have also heard that there will be one in Beaumont / Port Arthur, Texas in August. Can anyone confirm this? If so what are the dates / location / point of contact. Thanks, Patrick

Patrick, the Pate swap meet is at the Texas Motor Speedway. You have the correct dates. It's huge. I don't know about the other one. There is a web site, I think it's pateswapmeet.com Brent

patrick,
There is one in Beaumont but it can be slim pickin's. I dont know why but there are not many petro shows here in Texas. You would think that with all the land people and unfound pumps out there we would get more attention but oh well. Pate is a cool swap meet, very diversified. About two weeks before the show I will put a post on this site and Cheese's and try to get the numbers of all the Texas collectors comming to pate. Until then my email address is ryanmfortner2003@yahoo.com shoot me a message if you have any questions and I look foreward to seeing you at Pate.

Brent and Ryan....Thanks for the information. I live in Anacoco, Louisiana about 6 miles from the Texas state line. Beaumont is about 80 miles from here. I will try to make the Pate swap meet. I am new to this gas pump hobby (about 2 years) but have finished my fourth pump and have built up quite a collection of unrestored pumps, lubesters, cans, signs, etc...... I'm hooked. again thank you Brent and Ryan...Patrick

Pate is HUGE. Invariably you'll find something...
The year before last I bought a NICE 30" Magnolia with the Socony shield for $500. Last year I turned down a nice Mobil Cookie Cutter asking price $1200. I definitely regret that one.

This will be our 29th consecutive year setting up our large display at the Pate Swap Meet, April 27-30 located in Fort Worth, Texas at the Texas Motor Speedway. This is a great show, many petroleum vendors, many hotels and restaurants. The weather can vary from heat and sun, to wind and rain - prepare for all. See you there. Scott Anderson
