My good friend Ron Baker passed away recently, with a heavy heart his wife Linda knows she has to start liquidating his hugh mass of stuff. A look at the following pictures and you will understand why she needs to. Only the outside storage, mutliple sheds and all 5 box trailers, 3 buses, 3 box vans, and a couple trailers full will be sold at auction. Linda is not selling their personal collection at this time, Please respect her privacy and don't inquire. Every time I visited Ron we would chat and walk around, I would always ask what is in this or that shed, he would always respond, "a pack of *****", only now after getting to go thru each and every storage area do I realize he really did have a Pack of *****. Sad part is Ron never did go thru all the buildings and see what was there when he bought the property, a former Gas Staion, over 15 years ago. The Auction is hopefully going to be held the beginning of November, I will keep you posted with time and all info. Keep in mind most areas were too packed to even see what is behind and under, There will certainly be lots of hidden treasures. Enjoy

WOW, With that much stuff it would be great if they could add internet bidding for those of us far away. I see several things in there I would be interested in.

I have been to alot of this kind of auctions. First of all, everyone who lives withing 30 miles of this location will attend, they won't bid on anything, they only want to see what he had. Also, they come early and if there are seats they will fill them early. Guys who are interested in this stuff will be left standing all around, and all the bidding will be between them. There is so much stuff that a lot of it will be sold in lots and those of you who live in the area will be able to add a lot of nice items to your collections. This auction reminds me of the of the Sims auction in New York a year or so ago. Too many items, not enough buyers, equals great buys.

I've been to a lot of these auctions also Jack, when you have a standup guy like Ron, most people in a 30 mile radius will attend and buy things because of who he was. And yes the collectors will be there standing in the back and bidding (LIKE THEY DO AT ALL AUCTIONS REGARDLESS IF THERE ARE SEATS OR NOT), Yes because of the quantity of items there will be some deals, But the good thing is Linda has refused all that have stopped by and offered to buy stuff, she says "come to the auction" It will be a fair auction for all.
