Hey everyone, new to the forum. Tried to search for what I am asking but couldn't find it, hopefully someone can help. We want to build a shop that resembles a late 50's - 60's gas station and would love for it to look like a Husky station. Does anyone have any building plans for something like that or any good exterior or interior pictures?
Thanks, Randy

There was someone a few years ago that built a nice 50s Pure station in their yard. Also, every once in a while, you see old gas stations being torn down. If you can salvage the overhead doors and plate glass/window frames, the rest is generally just a block building. Blueprints turn up sometimes on eBay. OK, I just did a search and finally found the post I was talking about - it took a while because the title isn't very specific: http://www.oldgas.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=106517&page=1

Randy, welcome to the site!
You might want to send a PM to Huskybob? I do believe that he has photos that he might make copies of for you of vintage Husky stations. He might even have building plans?
To get a hold of him go to the "User List" and select the letter "H". It will give you his profile and allow you to PM (personal message) him.

Randy, I have a file full of plans for service station buildings but they won't do you much good. Stations were designed for the property. I used to be a Shell dealer, my station had three bay doors. The same building on smaller properties had two bays. Shell used buildings with long sloaping roofs, Mobil use square buildings. Many of the buildings are still around and being used for anything you can imagine. Just go out to a highway that was replaced by a Interstate, there should be a service station building every quarter mile.

Rannell66.... What I have mostly are pictures of H. Earl Clack Stations that were taken just before Husky took them over in 1954, so they are not stations built for Husky and mainly built in the 1930's. Here is a link to the only Husky Station I could find on Oldgas: I wasn't able to get it hi-lited in blue, so you will probably have to copy and paste to get it to work. http://www.oldgas.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=96856&Searchpage=1&Main=15954&Words=%22husky+station%22&Search=true#Post96856 Here is another link to some Husky Stations that kmann posted on Cheese's Site: (Be sure to check out pages 19 and 20 also as there is more Husky stuff.... including a nice Husky-Frontier-Beeline Parade Float.) http://www.cheesepitstop.com/viewtopic.php?t=6448&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=255pm Sent on other Husky pictures. Good Luck with your project..... it sounds like alot of fun.

That station on Cheese's link is still there. It is in Cody Wy. I'll be going by there in about a month. If I remember I'll take my camera and take some pictures and post them. I've bought a lot of gas there. I don't remember what brand of gas they sell now. Right now it is owned by Gorden Oil Company. The man that owns it has a nice small collection of pumps and signs. You might want to try Ed Shaver. He makes great models of old stations so maybe he has some reference materials you could use. John

Great news!! We got the refinance paperwork done and should close on Thursday. That means money for the shop to be built. We went to the show in Pigeon Forge this weekend and there were only a few Husky items available. We saw a station like we are wanting to build in Mountain City, NC and have some good pictures. Things are starting to move along. Thanks for all the input from everyone!
