I found this sign while searching auctionzip last saturday morning, I am 2.5 hours away from the auction and I will not make it in time so I call and place an absentee bid right away , they call about an hour later and say "you were out bid by 50.00" I say WHAT ? ......they said they would call me when it was up to bat but they didn't. O well, someone got a good one !..........there is a pic of a cleaned up version posted by 1970mach in the pic gallery ! M

Yeah but in that shape it isn't worth too much. I don't know how much more that one will clean up. You would need to go to the auction to determine that. These are double sided, so you are likely seeing the best side...I no longer have mine. It was sold recently.

It was a painted over porcelain sign and someone painted "upholstery" on it. I've cleaned worse and given my minimal bid someone got a deal !

Well not to make you feel worse about loosing this one..Mine sold for $3500 plus shipping. How minimal was your bid?

OUCH, This sign sold for 550.00 ! I would have sold the caddy sign anyway just to feed my petro habit, I only collect pennsylvania related signs and pumps that catch my eye. M

That is the reason I sold mine. I only collect petro and Ford signs. A really nice Ford sign came available, so it was sold. I paid $500 for mine plus a day's vacation and $100.00 is gas. So the Ford sign was free and I had 2k in my pocket still!
